Privacy Policy

MonsterChef is designed to be safe for a family audience. We do not ask for your name, we do not make you create an account, and we do not track you across apps or websites.

The short version

Who we are

MonsterChef is developed and published by Odd Engines ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the MonsterChef mobile application handles information. It applies to the app only.

Information we collect directly

None. MonsterChef does not ask for, collect, or transmit any personally identifiable information. The app has no registration, no user profiles, no cloud save, no chat, no user-generated content, and no social sign-in.

Data stored on your device only

The app saves your game progress — such as levels completed, stars earned, coins, and settings — locally on your device using the operating system's standard app storage. This information never leaves your device, is not readable by us, and is deleted when you delete the app.

Advertising

MonsterChef is free and is supported by advertising. Ads are delivered through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) mediation, which may serve ads from Unity Ads and other advertising networks in its waterfall.

MonsterChef is configured as a child-directed app

Before the advertising system starts, the app sets a COPPA child-directed flag for every user, without exception and regardless of age. This is enforced in code, not by a setting a user could change.

The practical effect of that flag:

What the advertising system does process

To deliver an ad at all, and to prevent advertising fraud, our advertising partners necessarily process limited technical information. This is handled by those partners as service providers:

InformationWhy it is needed
IP address (used to infer approximate country/region, then discarded or truncated)To serve an ad appropriate to your country and to comply with regional law
Device type, model, operating system version, screen size, languageTo render the ad correctly on your screen
Ad interaction events (that an ad was requested, shown, closed, or completed)To make rewarded ads work, to cap how often ads appear, and to detect fraud

This information is not used to identify you, is not combined with data from other apps to target you, and is not sold.

Our advertising partners' policies

Children's privacy (COPPA and similar laws)

MonsterChef is suitable for a general audience including children. We treat every user as a child for privacy purposes, which is the most protective option available to us.

Parents and guardians: because we collect no personal information, there is nothing for us to look up, correct, or delete on request. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, contact us at the address below and we will investigate and delete anything found.

Your choices

Data retention and security

We hold no personal data about you, so there is no personal data for us to retain or to lose. Game progress lives on your device under the operating system's app sandbox protections. Network communication with our advertising partners is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.

International users

MonsterChef is available internationally. Our advertising partners may process the limited technical information described above on servers outside your country. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our lawful basis for that limited processing is legitimate interest in delivering and securing the advertising that funds a free app; because we serve contextual ads only, no consent-based profiling takes place.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes on the App Store.
